The Artists - Joseph Philogene

As a young boy Joseph played guitar, recorder, kit drums and percussion until, as a teenager travelling in Nepal and India, he developed his love of the flute. In North Africa Joseph learned to play the doue, or Egyptian tabla, and the Moroccan bass lute in traditional Egyptian music. He has moved on to the 8 and 12 stringed ngoni and the kora, or African harp, bass guitar and bukarabus drums.
